How to Write Email Subject Lines That Get Replies
A reader decides whether to open, act on, or ignore your email from the subject line alone. Treat it as the message, not a label.

The subject line is the email
For a busy reader scanning an inbox, the subject line is often the whole message — they decide in that glance whether to open now, later, or never. A vague subject line ("Quick question", "Update", "Following up") wastes the one piece of text you're guaranteed they'll read.
So write it last, once you know your point, and make it carry that point. The body is for the reader who needs the detail; the subject line is for everyone.
