Disagreement is a skill

Many people treat disagreement as something to avoid — too risky, too likely to cause friction. But teams that can't disagree make worse decisions, and people who never push back stop being consulted on the ones that matter. The skill isn't avoiding disagreement; it's doing it in a way that improves the decision without damaging the relationship.

Done well, disagreement is a contribution, not a confrontation. The goal is to get to a better answer together, and to make that obvious in how you frame it.
